To be fair, if you just want to know how far and fast you're going, just install the Strava app on your phone. Only useful for outside but saves buying a watch.

I do a fair bit of sport/exorcise and the gym I go too these watches are the “in thing” at present and loads of people wear them and are constantly checking there data, you can set them up with your phone and get all the data on that rather than squinting at the watch face.
Asked a couple of people the benefits of wearing them, they bang on about knowing what there heart rate is, how many steps they took, calories burned etc, and of course the most useful tool is it tells you the time! Apparently Garmin or Fitbit are the best brands and do decent gear.
Personally it all seems a bit pointless to me and I don’t own one, as unless you’re a serious athlete of some sort who needs to be in tip top shape all the time I cant see they are of much use, each to there own though.

Of course, they weren't called Roman Roads back in those days, just Roads.

Back in the day I used to do a fair bit of running, and I didn't have any kind of watch at all.
It CAN be done.

Epson? The company who make printers?
Surely you're better off using a company who's main focus is on the sort of product you're wanting to use?
Would you put Sony tyres on your Burger King hybrid car?

The Nike one does exactly what I want, but I've had two now and they've both turned to shit - wouldn't upload data, etc. very frustrating, so gave up in the end.
The new Epson ones any good? Mixed reviews.
